Instruction for Authors

The Journal of Korean Public Health Nursing (JKPHN) is the official peer-reviewed research journal of the Korean Society of Public Health Nursing, and is devoted to publication of a wide range of research that will contribute to the developments in practice, education, theory development, methodological innovations, legal, ethical, and public policy issues in public health nursing. This journal is indexed in DOI/Crossref, Google Scholar, and KCI. This journal is supported by the Korea Federation of Science and Technology Societies Grant funded by the Korea Government (MEST).

1. Content and publication type

It accepts original papers of research articles, review articles, editorials in the field of nursing and public health.

2. Qualification as authors

The first author and corresponding author should be a member of the Korean Society of Public Health Nursing. If they are not members, they should apply to membership before submission.

3. Manuscript Submission

Papers should be submitted as using online submission. Please submit manuscripts electronically to: http://www.ksphn.or.kr/ Author’s checklist and copy right transfer agreement which is signed by all co-authors should be sent to editor via e-mail(kphn01@hanmail.net) or Fax(+82-33-248-2734).

4. Publication interval and receipt of manuscript

It is published three times a year in April, August, and December. Manuscript can be received at any time. The manuscript that does not keep the instruction to authors may be rejected before review. Certificate of receipt of manuscript is issued to the corresponding author via email.

5. Peer review

All manuscripts are sent simultaneously to three reviewers for blind peer review. Authors will receive of the reviewer’s comments. If the manuscript is subjected to publish, the author will be asked to respond the reviewer’s comment within 2 weeks.

6. Fee for page charge

For the Screening process of the manuscript, a fee of 50,000 Korean Won in advance will charged to the authors. If the manuscript is accepted for publication, the fees for English correction(50,000 Korean Won), copy editing and journal production along with charge of 30,000 Korean Won per page must be paid by the corresponding author before printing.

7. Role of editorial board

All contributions(including solicited articles) are critically reviewed by the Editors, members of the Editorial Board, and/or appropriate consultant reviewers. The decision of the Editors is final.

8. Copyright

Authors are required to sign the copyright transfer agreement to the society. All accepted manuscripts, artwork, and photographs become the permanent property of the society. The copyright agreement form will be sent to corresponding authors of accepted manuscripts with proofs. This should be signed and returned to the society. Authors must obtain permission to reproduce or adapt all or part of copyrighted materials from other journal or book sources.
